Hi Nils. If this is a USV-Device: Did you load the visor-Module ? as root do modprobe visor Read this Howto: http://www.linux.org/docs/ldp/howto/Handspring-Visor/introduction.html http://usbvisor.sourceforge.net/index.php3 If it is not USB-Device try chmod 666 /dev/<yourPalmDevice> /eg. ttyS0 and try again. Make sure the gnome-pilot-daemon is loaded. Add the Pilot Applet to your Taskbar. Right klick the Bar and choose “Add to Panel” -> “Utility” -> “Pilot Applet” Ben gnome-pilot-list gnome org schrieb am 21.12.03 05:29:09:
Hi,
I am trying to sync my Palm M100 with gnome-pilot shipped with the Fedora Redhat distribution. I have selected ttyS0 as port (COM1) and fiddled around with port speeds but without avail. I am unable to sync or get any contact at all with the PDA. One thing I want to know which ID value I have to give. When starting it gives the default UID I have in Linux, but I don't know if that's the correct one.
Hopefully someone has some quick pointers to check out so I can solve this (rather irritating) issue..
Thanx in advance!
Best regards,
Nils Kolstein n kolstein planet nl
