I need Help!!! CLIE PEG-N770C/U

I am going mad...

I cannot get pilot-link to work with my clie!

I am running Redhat 7.2 Kernal 2.4.18
USB enabled etc

It works fine with coldsync!

when I try to pilot-xfer I get the message:

Unable to bind to port /dev/palm
pi_bind: No such device

/dev/palm is a sybolic link to USB1 and is what I use for coldync... I
also tried the default /dev/pilot..

after this I tried /dev/ttyUSB0 which leads to an ever waiting message...

 Please press the HotSync button now...


Please help...
