gnome-pilot core dump

I have been having gnome-pilot core dumping whenever I try to synch.  I
know that the usb is working and my handspring has synched with windows
software.  Is there a resource that is around that can help with trouble
shooting this.  I have reported the bug already but have noticed no
activity on the matter.
