Hi folks

I have also run into the problem and planned to look at over the coming
weeks if noone else seemed to be (though I'm fairly busy right now so
don't expect anything anytime soon).

I worked round this using pilot-xfer directly. Basically remove the
'del' directory from the gpilotd backup directory and then pilot-xfer's
--restore option works OK.
