using the pilot-link snapshot and the help of setuid and jpr from
#pilot-link i managed to compile the latest pilot-link snapshot. Those
tools work fine now.

jpr told me that gnome-pilot is still tricky to get right because of
some remaining bugs pilot-link.

It would be really nice if someone could inform me (or just post to this
list) when it would make sense to try the gnome-pilot cvs. I am really
eager to get my palm sync with evo (;
