Using gnome-pilot with USB and devfs...

Has anyone successfully gotten gnome-pilot to bind to devfs's
now-you-see-it-now-you-don't USB interfaces?  If so, I'd LOVE to know
how.  I've been using JPilot with my m500 for some time now, but using
it with Evolution instead would be incredibly useful.
