patching, or until the next versions of pilot-link and gnome-pilot come

I just downloaded ximian rpms from (ximian.com) and installed it on my =
computer.  When I try to sync using the settings
Name: Cradle
Port /dev/pilot
speed 57600
type Handspring USB=20

with my palm 505, I get the following errors for intial sync " The =
connection between your handheld and computer could not be established.

Could someone please help me with this?  Thanks
