Error compile gnome-pilot 0.1.62 tarball

Hello all,
I've been trying to compile gnome-pilot without success.
I've updated alot of gnome packages to get it working, but I'm stuck on
errors such as:
pilot.o: In function 'gpilotd_disconnect_cb':
/usr/local/src/gnome-pilot-0.1.62/applet/pilot.c:170: undefined
reference to 'applet_widget_get_type'
Can someone help out ?
