Getting conduits to work

Hello everyone. I'm in desperate need of help with this. Ok, I'm running
redhat 7.1, with gnome 1.61 under ximian GNOME 1.4. Anyway, it all
installs fine, and it finds the palm on the serial port, that's all
good. But then, I get no conduit configuration window. When I click on
palm conduits in the control system, i get the same window as I do when
I click on Pilot Link. I'm pretty sure this isn't how it's supposed to
work, but if it is, how do I chose what conduits do what, etc.
