i'm guessing you REALLY DON'T have .9.6 :)

Check the contents of /usr/include/pi-version.h (or whereever you have it
installed). If it _is_ 0.9.6, gnome-pilot is fucked and I should be
slapped (unless you have multiple pi-version.h files installed ?), if not,
you _may_ have the 0.9.6 binaries, but an older set of include files.
