usb visor working

OK, it works fine in the stuff I just pulled out of cvs.  However, I
can't get it to work once installed.  I did get it to run (and connect
to the visor) from the build directory.  pilot_applet keeps printing
"state = INITIALIZING" and never starts gpilotd.
