My Pilot OS3.3 experiences

I had to work a little, but I am able to synch with gnome-pilot and
Palm OS3.3.  After I upgraded my OS, I tried synching and couldn't
because the Pilot ID was reset to 0 by the upgrade.  I forced a 
"set" with the old information and I synched, but the synch hung.
It had connected, but it wasn't sending any information, and
there was no progress on the Pilot nor the laptop.  I could no
longer synch nor get into the gnomecc panel until I rebooted --
then all was fine.  I've been synching fine since then.
