One more Visor USB question.. so close, and yet....

Ok, sorry to keep beating this dead horse. I've been looking through the
archive and can't seem to get this working yet. I have a Visor Prism
with USB cradle.

Here's what I have linux-wise..  Mandrake 7.1 with my own 2.2.17
kernel..
I have used the USB back port..
I have installed usbdevfs and have it mounted properly.
I can use pilot-xfer with no problems.
I have gotten the 0.1.55pre tar.gz and compiled it with
--enable-usb-visor=yes
I have killed all gpilotd and started by hand..  Here is the out put..

So my question is, what causes the "gpilotd-WARNING **: Unable to bind
to pilot" message?  What other info would be valuable for debugigng
this?
