Mandrake includes balsa -- run Mandrake Update, either as root from
the commandline (MandrakeUpdate) or from Mandrake Control Center, or
in 8.2 with
[bare foot] ->
     What to do? ->
         Administer your System -> 
             Download and Install Mandrake security updates

type balsa into the search field, click the check-box on the left, and
press Install in the toolbar.

For my part I preferred Sylpheed over Balsa, but evolution seems OK too,
and is The Way Of The Future [tm] :-)
