[GNOME-my]Gnome Keyboard Lockup

Hi All,

	Maybe, (& that's a big maybe) someone can shed some light on this.

yesterday was a _bad_ day for me and my Gnome Experience. I was playing with
my desktop (Gnome 2.4) and then suddenly the keyboard Hung. Mouse if OK.
Clicking/moving windows can but keyboard can work if it's life is at stake.

Reboot..re-login..Same thing.(can't even get to virtual console)
Everything's fine until I login.

Login as Root to KDE.. all fine.. Login Root to Gnome.. All fine.. Create
new user.. loging to Gnome.. All Fine.. Aargh....

Only when I login as myself does this occur. (Gnome hates me??) So.. what I
did to solve (actually, didn't solve, re-create). (even renaming .gnome2 /
.gnome2_private and relogin also no cigar)

8am 
SSh to laptop from desktop.. Kill acme, kill drwright, kill! kill! Kill!! no
joy.. 

8:30am
create new user(newuser), login, muck about.. copy my(orguser) .gnome2 &
.gnome2_private over to newuser. some settings are there, panels are gone,
things are missing stuffs like that. 

9:00am
(spend 30min finding the _desktop_is_home_dir_ is Gconf)

9:30am
Re-setup ____Everything_____. Desktop wallpaper, panels, shortcuts...

10:00am
copy all the .* files.. over.. 
resetup firebird preferences
re-setup gkrellm
resetup.. resetup.. resetup.. and resetup

12.00am 
FINITO

I'm bored.. I'm frustrated.. I really don't know what happened and I sure as
&^## do not understand why I still use Gnome.

ANyone has any comments on why it just happened? And I really mean.. _just_
I don't believe I did anything prior to that happening at all!!!
