gnome disable maximize

I have a quick question that id like to shoot, how can i disable the "maximize" of a specific window, I know there is an option to disable "maximize" for ALL the windows, however I would like to disable it on a single app we run at work, that or on any window that I want to, I was told to use mwm hints but to be honest im kind of lost, any help or pointers will be truly appreciated.
