Clock applet won't load ...

Hi there. I have FreeBSD 5.4 and just upgrade to Gnome 2.12 via the
ports (as usual).
However, the clock applet crashes for some reason with the following
error message:
'The panel encountered a problem while loading
"OAFIID:GNOME_ClockApplet"'
What to do?
