Can I customize the logout dialog?

Platform: SPARC Solaris 2.8, Sun's GNOME.

When my users select the log out action - either via the
Actions menu or via the menu panel's log out button.

On the "are you sure" dialog box is a checkbox that says "save current setup".

Is there a way that I could customize the system so that checkbox is not
shown?

I don't want users to use this button - the applications that my users
use do not save properly, and often leave the user in a bad state.
