Hello,
I hava a cd with a distribution of Debian
on it,I should say it's on old copy. The
kernel is Linux 2.2r2.Whwn I try to start
gnome I get this error:
/dev/dsp device not found
>From what I can tell this has something to do with siund. I do not have a sound card.
Is there anyway that I can remove this
from the start-up of gnome or does the kernel have to be re-compiled?
TIA
Wayne
