Desktop icon problem

Hi all folks,

Debian (Unstable)
Gnome 2.4

Creating an icon on KDE desktop will automatcally generate its image on GNOME 
deskop but the latter can't work, such as

Floppy
CDRom
CDWriter

I can't remove them from GNOME desktop otherwise their icons on KDE desktop 
will be removed automatically.  They work on KDE desktop

Kindly advise how to fix this problem.
