I want to say thanks for all the advice on installing gnome. I finally got the
SuSE rpms to load without a bunch of dependency problems. I also had to tweak
with the KDE login app so I could get gnome to run from it. Using the install
order list on the gnome.org site appeared to help. I'm saving all the emails
on compiling apps so I can try it later.
So far, I'm quite impressed with gnome. KDE is quite nice, from what I can see
so far gnome ROCKs! Still haven't figured out which mail client I like, glad
kmail is working ok on gnome.
