move to workspace issue

Hi all,

When I move a window to a workspace, the active desktop remains in the
'moved from' workspace rather than bringing up the 'moved to'
workspace.  I use Debian unstable.

My default gnome from RH9 pulled up the destination workspace.  And
I'd like to recreate it.  Possible? How please?
