SuSE 8.2 version?

I doubt that SuSE will have a version of 2.4 ready for use until 2.6 is
almost ready for use! Is there any way in which a user of SuSE 8.2 can
load and use Gnome 2.4? Where can I find the files and instructions for
addaptation of 2.4 to 8.2?
