Shift key auto generated?

Hi All:

I am using Gnome 2.4 in Debian. Recently, I have suffered from
a very strange problem in my chinese input method.

After I start gnome some time, some application( I dont know which)
will generate left "shift" key every 10 secondes. I have asked the
author of the chinese input method, he had no idea, and claimed there is no
such timer in the program. So, maybe it's not the input method's problem.
Basicly, I dont know how can this problem comes.

Any body has some idea about this problem? The applications
I often use are " gaim, mozilla, gnome-terminal".

Any suggestions?
