Yup, made sure of that among the first thing... even tried sticking your
.xftconfig in there just in case I had something wonky that was making
all my fonts dissapear. 

Basically I just want to be able to use the font 'treefrog', for my
nautilus desktop font (or maybe the other font called 'sf grunge sans').
If anyone can get these to show up while they have GDK_USE_XFT set to 1,
please let me know!

I can provide screenshots of what happens to me if needed.
