pannel just on one screen

Hello,
I have a problem with the XINERAMA-Mode. My second monitor has a much
lower resolution and the pannel just disapears on this screen. I'm using
Gnome 1.2. Is there a posibility to tell the pannel that it has just to
be on the first monitor or to make it smaller so that it appears just on
one monitor???
