frame problems with glade

I have been playing around with frame widgets in gtk2 with the glade,
and useing the pygtk.

When I place widgets inside a frame they size strangely, that is rather
than shrink down whit  the window the frame shrinks and  the widgets go
out of view, like the way a window passes of the edge of a screen when
draged over.

Is this the expected behaviour of a frame?
