icons license

What license are the GNOME2 icons under?  We're developing our new
website for Ypsilanti Township, MI, USA, and we need some mime-icons for
the document/notice postings, and I'd like to use the GNOME MIME icons,
if we're allowed (no, my boss doesn't want to release the shtml/php code
to the site, for whatever reason; that's what you get from a Novell/MS
admin, I guess).
