Hello
First let me say that I am a total Unix newbie.
I recently installed Gnome on my Macintosh (
OSX 10.1.1 G4/400 832 Megs)
I had previously installed
Xfree86complete-4.1-1.0.4
XDarwin 1.0.4.1
MacGimp 1.2.1
OroborOSX 0.75a3
I got all the binaries/installers from each softwares' web sites except for Xfree that I got from Apple and for Gnome that I installed using the netinstaller located at http://gnu-darwin.sourceforge.net/NetGNOME
When I launch XDarwin it looks like Gnome launches as well but the welcome screen stays black for a while, then the advice appears, the xterm window appears, and nothing else happens, no toolbar, nothing.
Here is the log of the console :
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[localhost:~] viz% startx -- -quartz

Now I dont know what to do...
Where are all the Gnome files located ?
How can I remove Gnome before I reinstall it ?
I dont find any information about that on the Gnome.org website ...
Or is there something else I need to do ?
Thanx for your help.
