Nautilus: Viewing contents of archives (.tar, tar.gz, rpm etc.)?

In my current gnome-vfs installation I see something that looks like
traces of archive content view support, but I still can't browse .tar,
.tar.gz or .rpm files in Nautilus (or I can't figure out how to do it,
anyway.) What exactly is current the state of the archive file support?
