panel sizing

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to make the icons on
the panel smaller.  I recently changed the size of the panel to
ridiculous because I like having a big virtual screen to play with but
when the other icons are that big they get all fuzzy.  It'd also be cool
to have smaller icons because then I could pack like 20 of them in
there.
