gnomeConf.sh

Hello, 

I'm on a Mandrake 7.0 system with Helix Gnome.

when trying to ./configure && make a tarball,  I ke.ep running into this 
problem:
checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /usr/local/lib... not found
configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated 
by gnome-libs install

Now I know I have gnome installed (helix gnome actually), and I've 
searched my entire system for the file, but haven't been able to locate 
them.  Could someone give me an idea as to where it might be (does helix 
gnome install it somewhere else?) or what I could do to get around this 
bug. I've tried reinstalling all the libs that I know of, but that 
hasn't helped either.  Thanks in advance
