X Crash on gmc menus (was Re: gmc(?) Menus

I find gnome crashes totally, X crashes too, when I try to use these
right-click program buttons.  It does not happen every single time, but
it it is often!  Has anybody else had an experience like this?   DO you
think it is a window manager or X or gmc problem?

I run redhat linux 7.0, helixcode/ximian rpms.  My window manager is
Window Maker. 
 
The X output to the console says to run gdb on the core file, but it
never writes a core file. Hmmm.
