install problems

	hello, i'm new to this list and to Linux,
i run it on a powerpc (LinuxPPC 2000) with Gnome

	first question : i could not manage yet to perform 
any installation, after unzipping i go along the instruction 
to lauch the install scripts... and get error messages warning 
me that i miss documents : 
	in one case /usr/local/gnomeConfig.sh is missing
	in the other "no acceptable cc found in $PATH"
