handspring visor and gnome-pilot

Greetings --

Has anybody been able to get a USB cradle to work with the current
gnome-pilot? I've been trying to use the GUI set-up tool, but haven't
been too successful -- it gets to the end of the routine, asks for a
sync, and then never connects.

I've got jpilot working with this same setup, so I know the hardware
is okay, and I can sync -- just not with gnome-pilot.
