1. Wrong list, there are a set of gimp list that cover theme that
better than GNOME ones. It is also recommended to put question in the
body too, not only in the subject, when mailing to list or anyone, cos
it does not waste too many bytes but is faster to read correctly.

2. <Toolbox> / File / Preferences / Environment / File Saving / Try to
Write a Thumbnail File / Never, and it will never create .xvpics and
its contents (but will use them when loading if they already exist).
