no multiple desks in Desk Guide applet

Hi,

I'm running the latest version of Helix Gnome, and as of the last
update, the desk Guide applet seems now to only show a single desktop,
regardless of how I set the geometry (right now it says it's set to 
2 rows and 2 columns, but only shows a single desktop).  Anybody
else see this, or have an idea what to check to find out what's
set wrong?  Thanks.
