gnome and screensaver problem

hello,

i'm  using gnome with Debian 2.2 and have a little problem.
when i execute screensaver-properties-capplet from
gnome control center ( gnomecc) my X11 session crash.
But if i excute the same from a terminal or from  icewm or
another windows-manager no problem.
The problem is only from Gnome menu ( /usr/share/gnome )

Can you help me ????
