helix problem

I also fired this off to the helix bug list but no response yet.

On Solaris 7, ultrasparc, I downloaded the helix installer,
installer-latest-solaris.  It runs and I get a window.  I press the
"Next" button and I get the following error and it exits:

Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  serial 1187 error_code 8 request_code 2 minor_code 0

Ideas?  Suggestions?
