gnome-terminal problem

I just installed gnome 1.2 (helixcode) on an a RH6.1. Suddenly the
gnome-terminal application is acting a bit funny. Every once and a
while, it will not print a line (leaving it blank), or only print the
first three characters. If I hide then reveal, the text comes
back. Any ideas?
