Gnome segmentation fault

Hello, I'm running Gnome (v. 1.0.54) / Enlightenment (v. 0.16.3) under FreeBSD
v. 3.4. There are two users on my system: root and mlewis. Gnome has been
running well up to now. It still works fine as user root. However, running
as user mlewis, I quit an xwindows session, electing to save the current Gnome
configuration. Next time I tried to run xwindows as user mlewis, I got:

The GNOME Session Manager has crashed due to a fatal error (Segmentation fault).

I shut the system down and rebooted. The problem is still there. I can run
xwindows as root but not as mlewis. Is there a .config file I can replace in
/mlewis that will allow me to run xwindows? Or is there another fix? I
looked at the Gnome FAQ, but haven't seen anything other than a general
explanation of "segmentation fault."

any help appreciated, thanks

Michael Lewis
