Help with gnomecal

Hi,

need help about the following. If I issue the
command "gnomecal --hidden" it should start iconified.
Why doesn't it work? The --hidden flag seems to be ignored.

When I set up an appointment with an alarm, must gnomecal
be running in order to activate the alarm, or is it possible
to have some demon doing the job, even if gnomecal has not been
launched?
