Hi, I have solved the problem with the installer.
What happens is the installer checks for free space on the home partition
regardless of who runs the installer. When I was installing helix I also
downloaded a couple of other files into my home dir leaving less than the
109 megs installer thinks it needs (despite it saving into /tmp/helixinstall
directory). I simply removed my home directory and installer carried on
happily.
Who should I report this to?
