GtkHtml doesn't support JS, CSS etc. (I read). I.e. the menubar on the
GNOME homepage won't work with it. My website only looks half as good
(while "good" depends on my taste of course).

That would be Mozilla. Writing a full-fledged browser is a *huge* task.
I'd guess 20 or more manyears just for the layout engine. Propably the
same for the JS engine.
