Yes, gnus is what I ended up with after searching for newsreaders
with offline capabilities comparable with those of Agent which I
used on Win98.
I'm currently reading the info documentation, but will take my time
to finish it as Agent works so fine with wine ;-)
Pan 0.8.0 suffered lots of crashes on my system, I didn't like the
menu-way to switch online/offline and articles it said had fetched
didn't show up as such...
