application help translations

for example,

in gnumeric i have german language settings and right, 
allmost everything is in german. execpt the help pages.

is it just that the translation team was not up to it
or am i using an too old version of gnumeric or what?

if it wasn´t translated, i would like to help. just point
me in the right direction.
