        Just a wild stab here, but since this error message mentions
CORBA and there was a crash, have you tried removing the /tmp/orbit-*
directories? If not, I'd suggest removing at least /tmp/orbit-<user>,
where <user> is you login when the crash occured. Of course, you should
not be running GNOME as that user at the time you do this.
