Hi, I think this is of interest to the panel developers: in gnome-core 1.1.3,
if you set up two panels in the same area (say the bottom of the screen) and
set one of them to autohide so normally just one panel appears. Now move the
mouse pointer to the very bottom of the screen so the second penel raises up. If
the mouse pointer is over areas common to both panels, you will see the two
panels constantly redraw themselves so there is an flashing effect as the
two panels switch rapidly between themselves to try to jump to the front.
The system is Red Hat 6.0, with icewm as the window manager, if that matters.
