question about gnumeric and database

Hi,
I am a new gnome user.  I'd like to know if there will be a way to bring
data from databaes into gnumeric.  Maybe something like MS Excel and MS
Query.  Anyway, I don't like some UI part MS Query.  For instance,  it's
confusing when building criteria (and it's the same as MS Access).
