I have a utility called "wmakerconf" (don't know where I got it from
though) that allows you to do that.  When you run it, choose the
"Appearance" tab and in there you can choose what you want each desktop to
look like.  Like I said, I don't remember where wmakerconf came from
though. I'm sure you can find it pretty easily though.
